As weddings are taking a less formal tone over all, short wedding gowns are very in Vogue.  Although popular in recent years for destination weddings, outdoor weddings and second marriages, short dresses are being spotted at even the most formal weddings now.  They don’t have to be simple either.  We’re seeing lots of short dresses with incredibly irresistible details.

The hem edge is also a great place to add details such as beading, lace or embroidery.  Since the hem is higher, doing something fun will draw some extra attention to it.
